Pokemon GO has been breaking records since day 1, but as we expected, the hype seems to be dying out, and we seem to have entered the cooldown period. Pokémon GO, after 74 days of being the top grossing app on the App Store in the US, has now lost the spot to Clash Royale.
According to a new report by SensorTower, despite having broken many a records, Pokémon GO still didn’t stay long enough on the top spot of the highest grossing apps. Check out the figures, below :
Clash of Clans wins this race by a landslide, having stayed on the top spot for almost a year, 347 days, to be precise. Pokémon GO doesn’t even come second, but third, after Candy Crush Saga, which held the spot for 109 days.
74 days is still a long time to have held the spot, and who knows, GO might come back for seconds, and take the cake.
Let’s not forget, Pokémon GO is still no. 1 in App Store revenue in 8 nations, and in the top five in 38 other nations. It’s still at the top of the highest grossing apps on the Google Play Store.
